Southern Maryland Eliminators

SPRING CLINIC REGISTRATION IS OPEN

SOMD Eliminators Sunday Spring Developmental Sessions that will take place at Lancaster Park from 5:30-6:30. This registration will allow you to register for the 4 week developmental session.

The cost is $75. Kiddie Sticks cost is $60.

These sessions are for those NOT playing on our U10-U19 Spring club teams.

**Please note that spaces are limited.**

The dates of the developmental sessions are the following:

April 28 and May 5, 12 & 19*.

*May 19 will be held at Chaptico Park.

Season Information:

Before March 1: $425 (plus processing fee).
March 1 and beyond: $475 (plus processing fee).
The practice player fee is $225.
We do offer payment plans, sibling discounts and scholarships to those in need.

*Discounts do not apply to the practice player option.

Practice and Tournaments

Practice - Two days a week- 1 weekday and Sundays.
Tuesdays likely for U10/12 and Thursdays for U14/16/19.
Each travel team will play in 4 tournament events.

TOURNAMENT DATES TBA: (teams will attend 4 tournaments).

U10 potential dates/locations thus far:

Sunday, May 12: Univ. of Delaware (water based turf).
Saturday, May 18: Williamsburg
Saturday, June 8: Howard County

U12 potential dates/locations thus far:

Sunday, May 12: Univ. of Delaware (water based turf).
Saturday, May 18: Williamsburg or Upper Marlboro, MD
Saturday, June 8: Howard County

U14 potential dates/locations thus far:

Sunday, April 28: Univ of Maryland (7v7 on water based turf).
Saturday, May 11: Upper Marlboro (11v11).
Waiting on USA FH to release Regional Cup Championship dates.
Likely playing on Saturday May 18 - a few options on that day.

U16/19: TBA:

Waiting on USA FH to release Regional Cup Championship dates.
Likely playing on Saturday May 18 - a few options on that day.

TENTATIVE PRACTICE SCHEDULE

Lancaster Park Field #7:
Practices will start end of March or beginning of April.
All times pending Field Permit approval.

Tuesdays: tentative - (firm times TBA for all 3 days of the week).

U10/12: 5:30-7:00

Thursdays:

U14: 5:00-6:30

U16/19: 6:00-8:00

Sundays:

U10/12: 1:30-3:00

U14/16/19: 3:00-5:00

High School Spring Sport Athletes: please reach out with questions. We understand that weekday practices would be tough. Those would be optional and attendance would be expected for the Sunday practices. Spring sport athletes could also use the practice player option to keep up with their skills and if able or selected can later be invoiced ($50) if an athlete attends a tournament.

TEAM EVALUATIONS:

Check list for Evaluations:

1) Registered and current member of USA Field Hockey valid through June 2024

2) Tennis shoes or turf shoes, outdoor stick, mouth guard, shin guards, water bottle

USA Field Hockey Membership:

1) All Eliminators Club members must be a CURRENT member of USA Field Hockey

2) To purchase a new membership or renew your current membership, go to: USA FH Membership

(your membership needs to be current through June 2024 - you can renew early and the date will extend 12 months from the current expiration date).

TEAM PLACEMENT FOR ALL AGE GROUPS

The U10/12/14/16/19 coaches will use the first few weeks of practices to determine the tournament teams. Those not selected have the option to remain as a practice player and serve as alternates if space allows.

If a practice player is invited to play in a tournament - they will later be invoiced: $50 per tournament.

PLEASE NOTE: not all who sign up will be approved to participate as space is limited.

Those new to the sport and others not quite ready to compete at the travel level will have the opportunity to participate in our clinics (in May).
