The Southern Maryland Eliminators Field Hockey Club was started over 17 years ago to help grow the sport with young athletes in our tri-county area. We are a non-profit organization that operates year-round offering field hockey to kids ages 4 to 18 through our fall recreational league, winter indoor travel team, spring travel team and clinics. Our board of directors, coaches and officials are part of the USA Field Hockey organization and many were collegiate athletes and coaches.
Our U10 to U19 travel teams compete in national tournaments in the winter and spring, providing athletes with valuable experience and skill development. We also support high school players by connecting them with college recruiters, leading many to earn athletic scholarships and commit to colleges as early as their junior year. Check out our Recruits & Prospects page to learn more.
We strive to keep costs low to create more opportunities for athletes in Southern Maryland and to foster a love for the game from a young age.
Outdoor field hockey is the traditional and most complete version of the game. It helps athletes develop field awareness, endurance, positioning, tactical decision-making, passing patterns, and team play on a full-size field. Outdoor play emphasizes reading the game, building fitness, and applying technical skills in real match situations.
If your athlete loves field hockey and wants to grow as a well-rounded player in a competitive environment, outdoor is for them!
